The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the human resources activities for two Yetter locations and for AMCO Manufacturing.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: recruiting, selection and retention, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, company and regulatory policy compliance, and workers compensation.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR Office.
2. Develop and administer various human resources plans, personnel policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain the company handbook.
3. Review and rewrite job descriptions as necessary; conduct periodic review of salaries and manage the performance evaluation program and revise as needed.
4. Prepares and maintain department reports and metrics.
Recommend new approaches, policies and/or procedures to drive improvements and efficiency of the HR department and the company.
5. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
6. Conduct new hire orientation, create and maintain confidential personnel files for each employee.
Prepare termination documents and conduct exit interviews.
7. Plan and organize employee events and recognition throughout the year and look for opportunities to improve morale.
Foster a positive environment where employee can openly discuss concerns and resolve issues.
8. Represent the company at job fairs, recruitment events and professional groups.
Contract with suppliers such as temporary placement agencies and search firms as needed.
9. Oversee the administration of company benefits and act as liaison between employees and insurance provider.
10. Report and file all workers' compensation claims and follow up as needed to assure the accuracy of the processing.
11. Work with supervisors and managers to identify training needs and assist with the planning, execution and documentation of training for employee records.

1. Act as a backup for payroll processing.
2. Review time clock records and assist with the daily maintenance of attendance records.
3. Coach supervisor and managers through the employee disciplinary process.

1. Bachelor's degree in human resources or three (3) years' experience of like responsibilities desired.
A comparable combination of education and experience in the field will be considered.
2. SHRM certification a plus.
3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations.
4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
5. Problem solving, decision making skills.
6. Valid driver's license as frequent travel between plants is required.
7. Overnight travel required approximately 4 times per year.
